I've been fan of her for a while, and when i saw this on her blog i just needed to put this on my blog. Elle UK, asked Garance to do not only a spread for them, but also to work on a portrait of Demi Moore for a collector edition of their magazine. "I’m not even going to begin to tell you how I felt the day the Elle Uk team asked me."

I'm certainly going to buy the ELLE UK!

Fashion goes far, don't be suprised that you need to speak English.

Statement
Just like the statement jewellery: something what stands out, it's what the whole outfit is about, the key piece.

Trophy
Just like a trophy bag: the piece of your garderobe, the most expensive of all, the one with the biggest waiting lists. Should be especially apparent. Example: Louis Vuitton, Chanel or the Coco/Rocco bag of Alexander Wang.

Heirloom
Just like a heirloom coat: an expensive item that a heirloom is, a heirloom looks, or a heirloom to be. (for the Dutch ones who doesn't understand me: een heirloom is een erfstuk.)
Think of Hermès or Chanel bags. In clothing the pieces are so noticable that you only can wear them once.

Investment piece
Thats how sounds a expensive purchase. It's a way of art, you can wear it years and it got heirloom potential.

Words you can't say anymore.
Not oversized but: slouchy
Not practical but: utilitarian
Not tight but: body-con
Not rockchick but: French Vogue
Not 'the new black', but: black 3.0

British Elle Style Awards!

Last night were the awards in London and beautiful dresses and outfits came along, here are a few examples.

Naomi Campbell won the biggest prize of the evening of Outstanding Contribution to Style. The top model (she's also still doing well) contributed this price on her friend, fashion designer Alexander McQueen. Naomi received the award not only for her modeling career, for her commitment to the White Ribbon Alliance (an organization that fight complications of pregnancies worldwide.).

Another winner of the night: Twilight's Kristen Stewart. She took the Woman of the Year award home! What an honor.. Other prizes went to the pregnant Claudia Schiffer (won the Model of the Year) and also pregnant Dannii Minogue (sister of Kylie), it was the TV star award for her work for The X Factor. And Carey Mulligan was Actress of the Year.


And then the fashion prices!! : the Elle Style Editor's pick went to it-girl Alexa Chung (and i'm a fan obviously) The 2010 Style Icons were Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
